I'm Happy :) It's worth it

I included a picture of my house to show that cleaning most of my windows myself is impossible. I have a company come out to do them professionally but this is expensive, and if you like clean windows, 2x a year is not enough and more is not justifiable $'s.So I thought I'd give this a shot for in between's - Hubby was worried it may damage windows, but if you are careful, I don't see how it can. It took some learning on windows I could practice on by reaching both inside/out. With triple pane low-e windows, it takes maximum magnet power and going VERY slowly to get a nice, streak free job, but IT WORKS GREAT!I found that spraying the outside of the window "generously", leaves too much liquid, and the squeegee "chatters", leaving marks and it tends to fall off. So, using a moist, but not wet outside micro cloth works well. I also skip the initial step, (squeegee without the micro cloths) - and just spray, let it semi-dry and then scrape it with the micro cloth.

    It gets the job done!

I ended up loving this gadget although at first I was ready to return it! Definitely practice on some downstairs windows first. Also don’t be cheap, get the stronger magnets & scale up or down on the suction as needed. The one thing I found difficult was reaching the outside magnet to attach to the inside magnet on the upper portion of a single hung window. I ended up using an ‘easy reach trash grabber’ to pinch & reach the outside magnet up to the inside magnet. It took 2 people to do that part but still, it is much better & safer that getting up & down a ladder over & over again to clean 2nd story windows. And it truly does an amazing job without streaks!

I LOVE THIS for my tall NYC apt windows!!!

LOVE IT! Finally able to reach the middle aspect of the windows to clean! My 4 tall NYC windows used to take 3 hours to clean. I would only clean twice a year due to how incredibly dangerous it was to perform this task. It took me 30 minutes with this gadget!!! Definitely a learning curve at first. I wrapped the cord around my wrist a few times as I did knock magnet off a few times. The magnet is very strong you just have to go s-l-o-w-l-y. I’m glad I bought an extra package of the clothes as they get dirty fast and you need to use these as they have a velcro attachment. Overall I’m super pleased. I was able to get to the impossible to reach middle section of window with this tool. I just lifted/ lowered the lower and upper windows a few inches and attached magnet. I love it! Now I can clean windows more frequently without fear of hurting myself. I wish I had bought this years ago. I bought the strongest magnet although I probably could have gotten a less intense magnet. Super pleased!

    Seems gimmicky, but really works!

I was a bit skeptical when I bought this, but was motivated to try it because I live in an apartment in a large city and my windows are filthy. it worked great! Easy to use and effective. Make sure to spray plenty of cleaner onto the windows.you do need to be careful with your fingers when the two magnets are close to each other because they do attract and snap together, which of course sounds obvious. My only suggestions would be to make the safety string a little bit longer.

    Worth it

At first I thought, “great idea, but pretty expensive.” I ordered some strong magnets to make my own ‘cause I’m a cheap. They weren’t nearly strong enough. I looked into magnets that were strong enough; pretty soon the costs were getting close to, if not surpassing, the cost of just buying the Glider.I sewed up come non-scratching scrubber fabric and microfiber cloth with Velcro patches. Since some of my windows would require a great deal of scaffolding to get to, and I have been ignoring the windows for years, there was a thick crust of dirt, tree sap, bird leavings, etc. that needed to be removed. After two passes of scrubber, two passes of microfiber, one pass of the included microfiber cloth and one squeegee pass, the windows are crystal clear for the first time in a decade.I recommend getting the unit with the strongest magnets since it’s simple to dial back the strength even down to thin single pane glass, but very difficult to add strength. Tuning the magnets so the tool glides, not stutters or separates, takes a bit of practice. The setting seems to be different not just on glass thickness, but also depending on how dirty the windows are, how soapy the liquid is, how fast you operate, etc.

I think this work great on windows, except some. My windows open bottom up. Cleaning the bottom part is easy. The top part, it didn't work. Amd since I live on the second story, I can't remove the screen either.

Great tool for cleaning hard/impossible to reach surfaces..

The unit was purchased to clean both the interior and more importantly exterior of a glassed in operator booth in a dusty manufacturing facility. We have used this equipment 'dry' to remove dust accumulations on the exterior glass of the booth. In addition, when the glass surface becomes dirty with moist grime and finger prints we then spray the exterior glass surface from 20' below with a pump sprayer followed by the units squeegee. Once the grime is removed we attach the dry rags to remove any residual moisture. This leaves the glass surface dry, clean and streak free. It does take some effort in the beginning to find a rhythm to the process that works for your specific cleaning process but once you get it down it works great. The adjustable strength to the magnets is an awesome idea, our Tempered Safety glass is 1/2" thick and we have to reduce the grip strength significantly to allow for easier movement.

5.0 out of 5 stars

I tried my best the result was unsatisfactory-updated

Update - the seller contacted me and offered a free replacement with some strongest magnetic knobs. I really appreciated their effort, so I am giving them a five star review for customer satisfaction. After receiving the product, and still under the COVID 19 shelter-in-place order, I decided to give the green knob version a try. These green knobs definitely worked better than the blue knobs version I bought. The outside piece would follow the inside piece and not dropping.I started a self training session by cleaning a deck patio window I have access on both sides, and followed the instructions to spray windex liberally on both sides of the window, then, I used the rubber piece only, the tool cleaned well, all corner pieces would need a second try but all worked fine. The challenge came to clean my 15 ft tall windows which is on a 60 ft tall exterior wall. So the inside is accessible by ladder to 15 ft, and outside would have no ladder access at all because it was too tall. Therefore, I had no way to spray windex on the exterior, if I could, I probably just used my regular window squeegee. These windows came with a small opening at the bottom so I would use this landing area to launch the Green Knob Gliders. I had to use the microfiber towels came with the unit, soaked them wet and started the cleaning job. It was a slow and tedious process because if your windows were dirty like mine, these microfiber towels got dirty easily, I had to retrieve them several times, wash them, re-spray windex on them, and re-launch the glider. After the 4th run, the windows exterior start to show some shining cleanness. Though no magic, just hard labor, all worked, now I can slowly working on rest of the tall windows. BTW, the safety string came with the unit was too short, so I extend it.-------Following were for the blue knob glider review--------------------------------------------I bought this thing with high hopes, after watching the seller videos many time. I assumed I mastered the skills by practicing. In reality this device falls off easily when you try to clean at a minimal speed, if I clean very slow it does not fall but leaves soap marks. Now my cleaned window looked 10 times worse than before. I bought the D2 version for my double pane 0.5 inch glass window.

Works but look at carefully at your windows before you buy

I live on the third floor of an apartment building in which the upper pane of each window is fixed and about 30 inches square. I didn't think before I purchased the item that I wouldn't be able to get the gizmo onto the upper pane. So far, I can only clean the lower pane. I'll have to put my thinking cap and ask around on how to get the apparatus to the upper pane (if anyone from Tyroler is reading this and has an idea how to accomplish this, please let me know). Otherwise, the gizmo is well built, well thought out and will do the job once you practice. With any "alternative mousetrap" product like this, knowing what the purchaser may be up against in solving his or her problem, I would expect that the company would be helpful with ideas on how to overcome those problems. Had they done so through videos or how-tos on on the web site, I'd be much more enthusiastic about it. A squeegee on a long stick would have been much cheaper and effective.

I live on the third floor of an apartment building in which the upper pane of each window is fixed and about 30 inches square. I didn’t think before I purchased the item that I wouldn’t be able to get the gizmo onto the upper pane. So far, I can only clean the lower pane. I’ll have to put my thinking cap and ask around on how to get the apparatus to the upper pane (if anyone from Tyroler is reading this and has an idea how to accomplish this, please let me know). Otherwise, the gizmo is well built, well thought out and will do the job once you practice. With any “alternative mousetrap” product like this, knowing what the purchaser may be up against in solving his or her problem, I would expect that the company would be helpful with ideas on how to overcome those problems. Had they done so through videos or how-tos on on the web site, I’d be much more enthusiastic about it. A squeegee on a long stick would have been much cheaper and effective.
